Artist's Description
A small fishermen's village inside Cabo de Gata National Park in Almeria, Southern Spain. The painting portrays the tiny bay between the twin volcanos and the village. In winter, the dark green of the Posidonia colonies ("seagrass") that extend all along the coast emerge in the surface of the sea, conferring it a unique mix of colors.
About Angeles M Pomata
After more than a decade of clinical psychology private practice in Madrid, some years ago I moved to the National Park of Cabo de Gata on the south coast of Spain and started my career as a writer. The peculiar environment in my new home made me a self-taught painter, and over the years painting has become a professional activity. At first, using oil to capture the beautiful landscapes I enjoy watching every day, later employing new media, mainly watercolor, and broadening the object range. Thank you for visiting my gallery!
