Description
This piece is part of my latest commission, an autumnal scene from Tsuta-numa in Aomori, Japan. The Tsuta Nana Numa is a stunning collection of seven swampsโTsuta-numa, Kagami-numa, Tsuki-numa, Naga-numa, Hyotan-numa, Suga-numa, and Aka-numaโeach formed by ancient volcanic eruptions.
A scenic 2.9 km walking path, the Numa-meguri no Komichi, winds through this ancient landscape, offering an unforgettable journey through a lush forest of towering beech trees. The trail takes about an hour to complete and provides breathtaking views of the areaโs diverse beauty. In the spring, vibrant skunk cabbage blooms amidst the fresh greenery, while autumn transforms the landscape into a canvas of rich, fiery hues.
This area is also a haven for birdwatchers, teeming with a variety of wild birds.
Vibrant autumn colors fill a dense forest of tall trees with their leaves displaying shades of orange, yellow, and green. The scene is reflected in a calm body of water, enhancing the rich hues and creating a mirror-like effect.
