Artist's Description
Afternoon in the salt marsh in Cabo de Gata. The salt is naturally deposited near the shore giving off white and yellow reflections in the sunset. There is a birds observatory in one of the edges next to the salt mine, where flamingos can be seen fishing in the nearbies, and also ducks, seagulls and some rare birds.
About Angeles M Pomata
After more than a decade of clinical psychology private practice in Madrid, some years ago I moved to the National Park of Cabo de Gata on the south coast of Spain and started my career as a writer. The peculiar environment in my new home made me a self-taught painter, and over the years painting has become a professional activity. Salt marshes are perfect for bird watching or shooting...with a camera of course. This one is incredible...so beautiful with its bits of color and little flowers blooming here and there. Those mountains are outstanding. Perfect composition, Angeles!
