The eastern bluebird is a small thrush found in open woodlands, farmlands, and orchards. It is the state bird of Missouri and New York. The adult male is blue above and with a rusty chest. Females have blueish wings and tail and are grayish above. They are very social birds. At times, they gather in flocks of a hundred or more, and tend to live in open country around trees, but with little understory and sparse ground cover.
After more than a decade of clinical psychology private practice in Madrid, some years ago I moved to the National Park of Cabo de Gata on the south coast of Spain and started my career as a writer. The peculiar environment in my new home made me a self-taught painter, and over the years painting has become a professional activity. At first, using oil to capture the beautiful landscapes I enjoy watching every day, later employing new media, mainly watercolor, and broadening the object range. Thank you for visiting my gallery!
