The dik-dik is a small antelope in the genus Madoqua that live in shrublands and savannas of eastern Africa, where they are able to blend in with their surroundings. The dik-dik name comes from the alarm calls made by the females, yet both male and female make a shrill, whistling sound. They tend to live in habitats with good cover but without tall herbage, and only the males have small horns.
After more than a decade of clinical psychology private practice in Madrid, some years ago I moved to the National Park of Cabo de Gata on the south coast of Spain and started my career as a writer. The peculiar environment in my new home made me a self-taught painter, and over the years painting has become a professional activity. At first, using oil to capture the beautiful landscapes I enjoy watching every day, later employing new media, mainly watercolor, and broadening the object range. Thank you for visiting my gallery!
